Biden assault victim, Tara Reade, seeks millions in damages following FBI operation against her.
After Tara Reade’s allegations of sexual abuse against presidential candidate Joe Biden was spotlighted by the media, she suffered a campaign of harassment and the full force of the weaponized justice system against her.
Attorney Jonathan Levy filed a tort claim on Wednesday seeking $10 million "for infliction of emotional distress and anxiety" following what was described as an "FBI operation" that was conducted after she (publicly) came forward with her accusation against Biden. The tort claim alleges Reade's Fourth Amendment right was violated as well as violations of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) and state privacy laws.
Included in the tort claim was a July 2020 grand jury subpoena issued to Twitter from the US District Court for the Eastern District of California demanding all records pertaining to Reade's Twitter accounts.
Radha Stirling, CEO of Due Process International took on Ms Reade’s case last year when she was found to be at serious risk of unfair detention and Interpol abuse.
“It is outrageous that Tara has been forced to seek asylum from her own government’s overreaching hand. What we are seeing is a very clear two tiered system where allegations against Trump are being funded, pushed through courts and amplified in the media. Meanwhile, those against Biden are being not only dismissed by the democrat leaning media, but viciously targeted”.
“The US media has cheered the recent $83.3 million in damages awarded to E. Jean Carroll in her claim against President Trump. Meanwhile, the same media outlets revelling in the ruling, have turned their efforts against Tara Reade who raised her complaint at the time of being a senate aide to then Senator Joe Biden. The hypocrisy is alarming. The weaponization of the media, of lobbyists and enforcement arms of the administration is undeniable. It has to stop”.
“The coordinated effort against Tara Reade is far more serious than a defamation allegation against Donald Trump”.
Tara’s tort claim outlines several allegations against the FBI, insisting it was behind suspicious occurrences like disruptions in her bank accounts and a manuscript of her book that had gone missing from a FedEx shipment in November 2020 that further detailed her claims against Biden.
"The United States should not have a two-tiered justice system," Reade's attorney Jonathan Levy said in a statement. "If President Trump and Mr. Giuliani can be assessed tens of millions in damages for their words; a weaponized FBI that seeks to silence, intimidate and eliminate Joe Biden’s victim, Tara Reade, must also be held accountable; failing to do so means our justice and legal system has become an instrument of political oppression and suppression."
